CITY STAY celebrated the opening of its new location in Papieri on December 1, 2024. If you’re looking for comfy, cozy temporary accommodation, you’ve come to the right place: 50 modern and stylish serviced apartments create an environment that offers more than just a place to lay your head. This is where a house becomes a home – no matter if you stay for just one night, for several months or even for years. COO Marie Michalsky gives us an insight into the brand-new apartments and the services they include.

The smell of fresh paint is in the air in CITY STAY’s lobby at Papier-Ring 4. With a laptop in one hand and a huge ring of keys in the other, Marie Michalsky opens the door. As COO, she is responsible for the management of the operational business. She also handles new projects and the ongoing technical development of all locations in collaboration with CEO Roger Noser. In partnership with him, she played a key role in shaping the new location. She still has her hands full until every detail is just so and all the cogs in the new operation are functioning as desired.

Papieri is a neighborhood of contrasts: historical yet modern, urban yet close to nature. This exciting environment is the new home of CITY STAY, which aims to meet the needs of a wide range of guests. Over five floors, it offers accommodation tailored to the location, with a selection of 24 m² studio apartments through to spacious 3-room apartments spanning more than 100 m², which can accommodate up to six people. It is perfect for business travelers, project workers or professionals from abroad who are here temporarily, as well as families or couples who need accommodation for personal reasons.

The CITY STAY concept offers flexibility. The apartments can be rented for single nights, by the week or for years. One particularly smart touch is that some apartments can be combined through connecting doors with their own entrance hall, providing flexible accommodation for larger families or groups. Two of the units are designed with accessibility in mind and meet the needs of older guests or people with reduced mobility.

Each apartment offers ample storage space, an iron, a hairdryer, and a fully equipped kitchen with dishes, a dishwasher, microwave, coffee machine, and kettle.

emphasizes Marie Michalsky, who has been passionately overseeing the project in Papieri for the past two years with a keen eye for detail. A welcome package including a daily portion of salt, pepper, and sugar, as well as coffee capsules and tea for the first morning, is ready in the kitchen for guests arriving late at night. Additionally, a modern laundry room and a luggage storage area are available to residents in the basement.

The CITY STAY apartments blow traditional furnished apartments out of the water. With services such as weekly cleaning and personal guest support, the team is creating an alternative to anonymous hotel rooms. Digital processes are a top priority, too: from booking to check-in, everything works seamlessly via digital solutions, if desired. However, personal contact remains key. «The CITY STAY team is on site at all our locations so we can personally assist with any guest inquiries. It is important to us that guests notice that we are there – not just virtually, but in real life and at any time. We are available 24 hours a day, 365 days a year,» emphasizes Marie Michalsky.

CEO Roger Noser and his team didn’t hesitate before deciding to open a site in Papieri. “It’s an exciting neighborhood that strikes a perfect balance between working and living. Our guests appreciate being close to Zug, Lucerne and Zurich and love the nearby recreational areas.”

There are all kinds of ways to enjoy life in Papieri: from leisurely walks along the Lorze to cafés and restaurants through to sporting activities such as padel, Pilates or gyms. A daycare center and shops are right next door – particularly handy for families. Those arriving with their own car can enjoy the convenience of parking in the underground parking lot and access the lobby with an entry code. Electric rental cars and e-bikes are available on the doorstep for guests traveling from abroad, which can be conveniently booked via the allride app.
