Mobility

Once exclusively connected to public transport by the Papieri railway, the Papieri site is now served every 15 minutes by two bus lines. Starting in 2027, a rapid bus connection to Zug train station will provide half-hourly access to Zurich or Lucerne in about 30 minutes, with the highway entrance practically at the doorstep.

Perfectly connected by public and private transport

Fast connections to Zug, Zurich and Lucerne!

Starting in 2027: Just 30 Minutes to the Heart of Zurich and Lucerne – Every Half Hour!

Even today, two bus lines connect the area directly to the public transport network and the S-Bahn station in Cham. From 2027, a rapid bus line will provide direct access to Zug train station – and from there, easy connections to long-distance trains heading to Zurich and Lucerne.

For maximum flexibility, the highway entrance is just minutes away. Plus, attractive sharing options for electric cars and bikes make getting around even easier. And for those who prefer a scenic route, the historic railway tracks lead to Cham station in just 10 minutes on foot.

Mobility that feels right – for you and for the future.

25‘ by car to Zurich city center
30‘ as of 2027 by train to Zurich or Lucerne city center
15‘ by train to Zug city center
5‘ walk to the center of Cham
35‘ by car to Zurich Airport

Public transport

Two bus lines connect the area to the public transport network every 15 minutes. From Cham station, an S-Bahn departs every 30 minutes to Zug and Lucerne. With the completion of the Cham-Hünenberg bypass, a new rapid bus line will link Papieri Cham to Zug train station starting in December 2027. This ensures a direct connection to Zurich and Lucerne every 30 minutes in just about 30 minutes. A new bus stop will be added to the Papieri site to support this enhanced mobility.

And it gets even better: From 2035, Cham train station will be directly connected to the national long-distance transport network and will have a direct connection to Zurich.

Transport-sharing options

Mobility can also be shared in the new Papieri district.  In cooperation with AMAG, a fleet of e-bikes, cargo bikes and electric cars is available for use at attractive rates. Install the new mobility app «allride» and get access to the growing range of mobility services from the papers.

This offer is available to all employees on the site, business customers, all residents as well as all people in the neighborhood of the papieri site.

Electric mobility

Electric mobility is already shaping our future, and the Papieri site is more than ready for all it brings. All of its parking spaces above and below ground are intelligently managed, prepped for electric mobility and equipped with charging stations as required.

For when residents are in a hurry, there are also several fast-charging stations available on the site.

Bicycles

You can reach almost everything in the Zug region by bike. As a result, there are a large number of bicycle stands on the Papieri site, many of them covered.

For cleaning and repairing bikes, there's also a central bike repair, a cleaning station as well as a pumping station on Papieri Platz itself.
