The first stage of construction is already complete, with the building shell now in place. The foundation walls for the second stage can be seen. Cham Group employees explained the stage of progress in the individual areas on an exclusive tour. “The way old and new have been fused together here is truly impressive,” said an intrigued local resident.
One especially popular part of the tour was the energy plant, which is at the heart of the entirely carbon-neutral energy system for the new neighborhood. Roland Regli, Head of Execution at the Cham Group, led the visitors expertly through the labyrinth of pipes, storage rooms, tanks and wires, explaining how the system would allow the entire site to be completely self-sufficient in terms of energy.
